I would never recommend this company to anyone!!! Monotronics took over Security. I have never signed a contract or agreed to Monoytonics as my home security company. I asked for a copy of the "signed" contract. Not only is it not my signature, the contract isn't dated. When I informed Monotronics of this I was told it doesn't matter. My daughter in another state verbally approved the service. I called to get the yard sign and decals since you just took over our alarm system. I was told and $9.95 fee is charged. Why do I have to pay for this? My brother has Dementia, in October 2014when we became aware of it he had gotten lost and I was called to go to another state to get him where he was found. I have been a faithful customer since 07/01/11. I have kept up to contract requirements. I am now having a medical and financial emergency situation and no income. I have talked to 4 representatives who argued that first if I was even in the account. I opened it and I set up the security password and I pay for it. The system was installed in my home when I purchased in August of 2013. Instead of monkeying around with other security companies, I decided to give Monitronics a shot. Everything was fine for the most part. A door sensor fell off and I was tasked with calling them to reset the sensor, which was easy enough. Read the above comments from Florida. I experienced the same problems calling to cancel my service after 9+ years. I have now paid over two months and have not had service for over 60 days. This is unacceptable business practices and they need to been investigated for the manner of customer service/practices. I moved into a new home I bought with monitronics equipment installed/left by the precious owners. After about tens days in my new home and a course after midnight the fire alarm starts to alarm so I called the number on the boxes and was told there is nothing they can do without the previous owner's code.
