I have been with Monotronics for 8 years. I originally called to suspend my service during remodeling. Somehow they started calling us to collect the (not due) monthly service. I moved and wanted to have the system installed at my new address and after several phone calls and many HOURS on the phone or waiting for a service guy to remove the system from the old address I finally gave up. Horrible customer service two of my sensors weren't working the tech came out and couldn't fix them so he just removed them. I now only have one sensor that works and the company refused to cancel my service! I will tell all my friends and everyone I come in contact with how horrible the service is. I signed up for Monitronics. Sold property, no longer able to use services. Told by rep my service was cancelled. Still getting bills & threats. I signed up for Monitronics security monitoring services. At the time, the sales rep said we could cancel at anytime as we had plans to sell our property in the next 2 years (3 years contract). After more than 20 years as security Network client, Monitronics took over our account. Wanting to cancel my land line, I tried repeatedly to get them to come out and install a cell transmitter as well as upgrade out system. I never got a call back and never was able to talk to a rep. Back in 2011, a person came to my door saying they were there to upgrade my system--I was with ADT. As he was telling me about the upgrade he nonchalantly said he was with a competitor , Security Services-- AKA Monitronics. I was told he could give me a better rate than ADT. I am pissed off as well, I was on my way to the hospital and the salesman pressured me to get the security system. and when I asked the salesman about the contract he told me it was for 15 months, it was 54 months and after calling I asked about the range for my call button, they couldn't give me an answer. They came to my house back in April 2013. They said updated to my security. They failed to ask me if this was my house as i was only renting. I have been trying to get a simple problem resolved with Monitronics Video Surveillance and no one has called me . They send a tech. To install the equipment. In Hawaii, they send kids around to sign up customers. We got a 3 year plan, $40/month. They have no offices here, so they contract local alarm installers. The first week one of our sensors failed, their phone staff said let us know if ithappens again.
