When I moved I cancelled my service with Monitronics but they continued billing my credit card monthly and in spite of repeated cancellations they billed my card for 20 months!!. Each time I called another supervisor told me they wanted another letter to cancel and never called me back. I will NEVER again do business with these people!!! I signed a contract for 3 years! My 3 years was up in November! I always paid on time as my service was automatically withdrawn from my bank account... We had to repeatedly call up there for the service to be cancelled when our contract was up AFTER I had submitted Our cancellation letter!!! Not only that, they took money out of my account... This is an awful company. I sold my house and they want me to pay for the new owners alarm system! I was a customer for 5 years. The calls from them don't stop! I have told them over and over to stop calling. TERRIBLE business! Read more

Do not sign with this company by any means, especially if you originally signed with a company they recently bought. They fraudulently fill in the area stating a 5 year contract even with the wrong initials. I have the carbon copy to prove. Horrible service. Do not use this service. They will leave you unsecure if power fails. They failed to call us after alarm failed and admitted that they did. Again do not use this service. It's also contractual for 3 years. This is a sham company. You will not be safe. Read more

We contacted the company on July 31, 2015 requesting that our service be terminated. The equipment had not been working for some time. We had called several times to have a service technician come out, but they never came or called back. Finally we gave up and quit using the system which was no longer insuring our safety. they said they sent security to my house when the alarm went off. My daughter was home from collage at the time and no one was ever sent but they still billed me for it. after complaining I got my money back for the call but what good are they if they don't provide the service they bill you for. Trying to cancel with this company is a nightmare. Not only did they lose my letter to cancel they refused to cancel it and continued to charge me even though we had sold the house and were no longer at the residence.
