I would give zero stars if that was an option!!! I was lied to by the technician and the sales person who came to my house about this alarm.

The sales persons name was Andrew. I was told there was a 12 month contract just to pay for the free equipment and that was it. Went back to cancel at the end and am now finding out that I have a 36 month contract I apparently signed. I understand that I should have taken the time to read the whole contract on the persons little iPad before I signed but I believed the sales person.

I asked him several times if it was a longer contract and he said no just the one year. I have spoken to several managers in both companies, it is two separate companies by the way. Direct Protect signs you up and gives you the equipment then Monotronics takes over and neither one takes responsibility for the fact that they have corrupt sales people working for them. I am pursuing what I can but they have my signature on the 36 month contract so there is nothing I can do and they refuse to help me.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE COMPANIES!!!!!!!!!! They are just out for you money, they don't care about their customers.

This is wrong, they are taking advantage of people just to get a sale.

Reason of review: taken advantage of and lied to.

Preferred solution: Cancellation of policy or discount due to the fact that I was lied to and taken advantage of by a corrupt sales person..
