Monitronics - Terrible company, they are pretty much scammers
Like some other people, we tried to cancel the alarm. We called and they said we would get an email with instructions after having to be on the phone with them for over 30 minutes and the person trying to convince us to stay with them.
We waited the 3 days to get an email, and of course no email. We then submitted a contact request online for them to follow up with instructions. Still no response. We have now written a letter to cancel based on what we saw online.
Definitely think that the customer service rep should have just told us to write a letter over the phone and not strung us along for so long.
They not only never checked on our equipment during the 5 years we used them, but the customer service is definitely lacking. We will never use Monitronics again and definitely would not recommend it to anyone.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $55.
Preferred solution: Stop stringing customers along, just let us cancel when we want to cancel..
Monitronics Pros: Auto debit.
Monitronics Cons: Low value, Bad customer service, Cancel policy, Customer service or resolution to problem.
