I tried canceling train being I don't use the system and I was also offered a cheaper rate with a different company. I chose to just cancel Monitronics but they refuse to cancel, I still have to pay the monthly due even though my service would be technically canceled.

I don't get how that's legal.

I've canceled other devices before with other company's and did pay a fee of some kind but never had to pay the whole amount remaining on the term. I just want to cancel but it seems like it's going to take legal action to get this simple matter resolved.

Monetary Loss: $375.
